Terms of service

Blacrex is operated by Debasish Panda, sole proprietor, trading as Blacrex, Flat 3A, 2nd Floor, AE-203, Kestopur, Kolkata, West Bengal 700101, India. Creating a workspace or using the service means you accept these terms on behalf of your organisation. Questions go to our contact address.

Blacrex is a fixed asset register: a record of the equipment your organisation owns, what it cost, where it is, who holds it, and the history of who held it before. Every module — custody, helpdesk, procurement, licences, maintenance — is included for everyone, with no limit on assets or people.

The free register is not a trial and does not expire. The Year-End Pack adds exactly one thing: your Schedule II depreciation schedule as a download for your audit file, its full print, and a TallyPrime journal export. The same schedule stays readable on screen either way, so you see every figure first.

Prices are on the pricing section and are billed once for a financial year: ₹9,999 for a register of up to 500 assets in use, ₹19,999 from 501 to 2,000, ₹29,999 from 2,001 to 5,000, and a quoted price above 5,000. Every band buys the same Year-End Pack; nothing is held back from a smaller one. What decides which band applies is the number of assets in use in your register — every asset that is not retired, disposed of or marked lost, including one recorded as a part of another asset — and it is read when a year is bought and again when the next one is; growing into a larger band mid-year does not change a term already bought. Prices are final — no GST is added at invoice — and there is no per-user charge. Each organisation you create is a separate register priced on its own; one purchase covers one organisation.

Founder’s offer. Our first 10 customers get half price for their first year: ₹4,999, ₹9,999 or ₹14,999, by the same band as above. It applies to the first year an organisation has the Year-End Pack, bought while one of the 10 places is still open. One place per organisation, and one per company — the invoice step checks both. A place is taken when your payment has reached us and the plan is switched on, and the number of places taken shown on the pricing section is read from those records. From the second year, it is the standard price for your band; nothing renews by itself. If a purchase is refunded under our refund policy, the place is released and goes back to the 10. Organisations that had the year-end files before the plans existed keep them and take no place.

Nothing renews automatically. We hold no card on file, and a bought year simply ends unless you choose to buy the next one. If you do not, nothing is locked and nothing is deleted — your register, your people, your history and your depreciation on screen all keep working. Only the Year-End Pack stops: its downloads close, and the printed schedule becomes a marked draft.

Onboarding — importing an existing register, printing first labels, walking your team through a first count — is optional, done remotely, and quoted separately.

Sign-in is by a code emailed to you; there is no password unless you choose to set one. You decide who joins your organisation and what role they hold — viewers read, editors record, administrators manage settings and membership — and you are responsible for what the people you invite do in your workspace.

The records you enter belong to your organisation, not to us. You can export them whenever you want, on any plan, at no charge. How personal data is handled — what is stored, who can see it, how long it is kept — is set out in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything.

Blacrex computes figures — depreciation under Schedule II of the Companies Act 2013, and journal entries for your books. It prepares those figures from what you entered; it does not audit them, and it is not accounting, tax or legal advice. Your accountant or auditor remains responsible for reviewing the outputs and for your filings, and if you find a figure you believe is wrong we want to know about it.

Use the service lawfully and only for keeping your own organisation’s register. Do not attempt to reach another organisation’s data, probe or overload the service, or resell access to it. We may suspend a workspace that does, and will say why.

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, and its behaviour is covered by an automated test suite that runs on every change — but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, and the service is provided as it is. Keep your own exports of anything your statutory record-keeping depends on; the export is free precisely so that you can.

If we are liable to you for anything connected with the service, that liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You can stop using the service at any time — export your data first. Refunds are covered by the refund policy. If these terms change materially we will tell account administrators before the change takes effect; the date at the top always reflects the current version.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal have jurisdiction.
